Full size spare: what size fits cavity? S70 1998

Son and son-in-law did a new purchase of wheels and with the left overs we want to use for spare wheels. These are 205/55 X 16 and sort of fit, but not so the trunk cover will cover well. the outer diameter seems too large for the wheel well or the tire width could be too great.

Bottom line: anyone know what size 16" tire will fit in the spare well?
