I pulled out the flame trap today and cleaned it out with carb cleaner. I'll get a brass one from FCP Groton once I finish an inventory of parts I'll be putting on order. It was fairly gunked up with carbon and nastiness.
I noticed that there was mild pressure at the dipstick hole, which led to my search for the flame trap. Well it's cleaned out, but vapor still ejects from the dipstick hole while the car is running. Is this normal? It would seem that there is a perfect passage from CV gasses to vent back into the intake now...
