ok I have a 1994 volvo 850 5 speed that wont start.
I started it up very quickly to move it, then the next time i got in it it started then died right away, and still is dead now.
OK i have checked for spark and it is ok, i checked fuel pressure, its 40 psi.
I got brand new plugs, cap, rotor and wires.
I put on a brand new coil and powerstage unit. I checked ohms of rpm sensor(mounted above the crank) 280 oms, thats ok. The Cam sensor did not read any ohms but i checked one on a running 850 and same thing, no reading.
I checked switch voltage(.7-1.5 v), ground and battery voltage at the powerstage, although i was supposed to get 0 hms for the ground, and i got
0.1 ohms. The spark plugs get some what wet. Timing , i know has to be checked at 800 rpm to read 10 degrees, but i did read 20 degrees while cranking.
There is no map sensor in the car. Also the coil power supply is correct.
I dont think the car has been trying to start for too long to maake the cylinder walls to be soaked with fuel.
Anyways that pretty much covers all the tests ive done. i have taken a break from it for now to try to regroup.
So if anyone knows anything, please let me know.
