LCD on SC-816 no longer backlit V70-XC70

It seems the LCD bulbs have burned out on my SC-816 stereo. I replaced the 5 bulbs as well noted on another site but to no avail. I did find out that there are one or two socketless bulbs behind the LCD panel and that they have to be removed and new ones soldered back on. However, I don't know anything like a bulb part number or where to find them.

Has anyone had this same dark LCD problem and found a way to solve it?
