I just bought my first volvo last week with 183,000 miles on it and I'm falling in love with it. It is a 1995 850 turbo. I have been reading volvo sites like crazy and I want to do a trans flush because the trans shifts hard into each gear. Anyway, I went to check the trans fluid and it seems as though the trans dipstick is stuck or locked into the tube. I have pulled on it very hard to the point that I stopped because I was afraid of breaking the tube. Please tell me there is a lock or something that I have to undo to get this thing out. If there isnt, then has anyone else run into this and what do you think I can do to get it out. By the way i can twist the dipstick where its at with no problem, its just that when I try to pull it out it wont move. Please any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
