Steering / Front wheel Rattle (Loud) 850 1995

Right after last Monday (10/30/06) sticker inspection (everything pass), alternator died and got stucked in Mass Pike. Now, I replaced the alternaotr and a new problem showed up this morning. Today is the first time to drive my 855 after alternator replacement. Rattle from the front when turning the steering wheel from the far right back to left. The rattle came when the front wheels passed the center position.

I reproduced the rattle (very easy) in the work place parking lot.

1) Start car in P position,
2) Foot on brake,
3) Turn steering wheel all the way to the right until stopped,
4) Turn the steering wheel to the left,
5) When front wheel pass the center position, rattle start and loud.

Rattle does not exists
1) Foot is not on brake,
2) When turning steering wheel from far left position to far right position (foot on brake or not).

Only happened when steering wheel from far right position to far left with foot on brake.

Could the inspection guy ruin some parts of the front end while he was doing the inspection on last Monday ?

Could the tow truck driver over tighten the flat bed's nylon straps on all 4 wheels when he towed my car from Mass Pike back to my house last Monday ?

Any suggestion regarding to this problem is appreciated.
