PNP replacement 850 1993

I getting prepared for a PNP switch replacement on my 93 850 and read in an earlier post that the PNP can be replaced with the alignment tool. Has anyone else done the PNP switch without this tool and have any tips on how this is done?

If it is better to using the Volvo alignment tool, anyone know how much it will cost?
