I have been experiencing a flashing arrow (winter mode indicator light) intermittently lately. The car continues to operate without problem for the most part. However, I have been experiencing a serious loss in power as if the car has switched itself into a very sluggish winter mode without my doing so. Fortunately it has happened only a couple times and only when I am starting from a complete stop. I do not know how long this luck will last. I did read a recent post about a recall involving the electric throttle control and I'm wondering if this is part of the problem. I have just acquired this car 3k miles ago and it has been a headache from the start. I have another of the same year and same mileage 100k miles. We have yet to have either of the ETC recalls performed. We just found out about them when we got the car and ran a car fax which turned up the recall bullitens. Perhaps this is part of the issue here. Any help or suggestions would be most welcome. I am tired of the frequency of which our cars are in the shop so I am trying to find some answers before I have too bite the bullet and put the girls in t he shop. Thank you all.
