93 850 engine the same as later 96-97

Quick question:

Is a 93 850 5254 non turbo engine the same as the non-turbo 96-97. In other words, will a 93 work in a 96. I have an opportunity to buy a 96 850 wagon with some oil burning issues. As I have a 93 parts car with an engine with 150K, I am thinking about pulling the engine from the parts car and saving it for future use. I know 94 and up had an air pump system that different, but are the block and head assembly the same, if you swapped out everything else.

I have pulled numerous b-20s, and b-230s out of cars, but never an 850. I have the axels off, intake off and getting it down to bare bones to get the engine out. I was thinking about just dropping it out via the sub frame from the bottom - using a trans jack to support the engine on the way down. I will take everything off before I attempt this in an effort to lighten the load. I want my parts car out of my garage, but it really has given me a lot parts I have used!! I got my $300 bucks out of this parts car, for sure.

Thanks
