Driver Window Switch Erratic V70-XC70 2002

My driver window switch has ben erratic in its response. I am affraid the window might get stuck in the open position (my '84 245 didn't have this problem until it was 19 years old!). Is there an easy way to get at the switch button in the driver's "armrest"? Does the switch console just "pop" out of the "armrest"? If the switch fails totally, i'd like to be able to get 12V to the window motor to close it...and maybe even interchange the wires from one of the other functioning window switches since they can always be opened from their door switches. (Of course i'm assuming the problem is most likely in the switch rather than wires or motor).
