Alarm remote control problem V70-XC70

Hello fellow bricksters!

My brother is having problem locking/unlocking his 2001 V70. He used the remote control with 2 buttons only for a long time. Now when he tries to unlock with the other one (with 4 buttons-lock/unlock/lights/trunk lid) the siren goes out... It still works with 2 button remote though.

How to synchronise the other remote?

Any suggestion ould be in great help!
