blower not working! no heat in FEBUARY!! 850

i have a 95 850 wagon and the a/c was intermittently working for about a week, and then it just stopped. if i turn on a/c i hear the compressor come on just not the blower. today i took the passenger side dash out and checked the modular connections and everything "felt" tight, i then unscrewed the motor and and spun the fan, it felt kind of rough but not seized, i didn't disconnect any wires, so i couldnt pull it out too far just enough to spin the fan. what and how should i test next. any help would be great.
also does anyone have the link for the service manual, my wife deleted it!!!
