V50 AWD versus V70R AWD 850 1995

I have been browsing these a bit tonight, and I am looking for any input before I drive 20 miles and get the dealer speil.

I hope I got the possibilities right in the title. I am looking for an AWD vehicle. Manual would be nice (I have enjoyed my 850T auto, but looking to return to stick). I would like to stay with leather. I don't need NAV. I do care about fuel economy.

On edmunds, it looks like you have to get the R to get AWD in a 70. I don't need a sporty ride (the seats on the R looked like Ricaro or equiv).

I like the 5 cylinder Turbo, and am assuming the current version is similar to mine (at least power-wise).

So, I am looking for comments regarding choosing the V70R AWD over the V50 AWD in stick. I would add the premium pkg to the V50 to get the leather and sunroof. I think that results in a 7000 price difference without adding a bunch of other stuff I don't need. Vast differences in interior finishing or ride?
