Please respond if you have knowledge of this problem:
My ABS warning light is on on my dashboard. The problem that my 850 Turbo is having (and has had during several periods over the past 3 years) is my brakes shudder when I am braking at low speeds. The shuddering actually shakes the whole car. From some of the research that I have done on the internet it sounded like my ABS controller was bad so I considered having it fixed, which can be a big expense! (~$800) My friend Doug and I last night opened up the hood and unplugged the ABS clamp/hatch that clamps down onto the ABS controller to hopefully disable the ABS system and therefore eliminate the shuddering. This did not work. I am not sure what else could be the problem. If it is not the ABS system, what is it? I just had new rotors, new brake pads and a new axle put in in the front, so my hardware should be good. Let me know if you have some insight into what this could be.
Thanks.
Nathan
