Does your radiator fan come on with the aircon immediately? 850

Hi
A quick question if anyone can answer, it'll save me time checking the circuits.
The Radiator fan which also cools the condensor of course, on my 1995 2.5 850 with ACC doesnt come on straight away when I switch the aircon (ACC) on. It only comes on after a while, by then I don't know if its the engine heat (or condensor heat) thats triggered it.

Can anyone confirm that the fan comes on instantly with the aircon or that theres a delay before it comes on?

My Aricon does work but if I can make it colder I'll be even happier :)
