850 Water Pump Questions 850 1993

I am looking at buying a 1993 850 that the owner says the water pump needs to be replaced. They want $1300 for the car, but I offered $1000 for it. I think it has around 168000 miles on it. Is this a good deal?

How easy is it to change the water pump? I have changed them on American cars several times, but never on a Volvo. IS there anything else that I should look for on this particular model?
