What a friggin way to spend a weekend! After reading reading several threads about this, I've concluded that a bottle of Jack Daniels should be added to the tools. Anyhow, on my 97, I got the old belt off down to the infamous crank pulley. After a few hours of swearing and tossing an occasional tool, it appears that there seems to be a rubber stop in back of the pulley around seven o'clock or so. The space between the "stopper" and the back of the pulley seems way too little get the belt over. Raising the engine would seem futile as it appears that the "stopper" is attached to the engine.
Any suggestions at this point, would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
