how to offer for a '95 T5R with 133k and salvage title? 850

Someone in my vicinity is selling their '95 T5R, and I am trying to ascertain what I should offer. They are asking $6k, and the car has IPD sway bars and ECU, TME springs, and some other odds and ends. The downside is that is has a salvage title, and that neither the heater core nor evaporator have been replaced. KBB says the car in excellent condition is worth $5,900, so there is no way I am shelling out $6k for a salvaged title accompanying the T5R. Any, and all, comments would be greatly appreciated. Danke :)

P.S. I should also add that the timing belt, and water pump, were replaced 5k ago.
