Greetings: Our '96 850 a/c initially seems to work fine. Blows cold air, the aux. fan works. But at some point, the compressor drops out ( clutch disengaged), loose a/c air and it will not come back. It seems the hotter it is outside , the sooner it will quit. It will eventually return, but only after sitting for a prolonged period but then cut out again. My understanding is that this system is an orafice pressure reduction system with an accumulator correct? I was almost hoping the problem is an undercharge but after afixing a charging bottle with provided guage, it showed good charge.(25-33 lbs.)Should I vent off some charge anyway? Any suggestions ?
