Blower on when car is 'shut off'. V70-XC70

Very weird problem. Every now and then the blower in the car will stay on after the car is shutoff. I was walking by my wifes XC70 and heard a noise. It was the blower motor. I put the key in the ignition and went turned the key to the accessary position and back again and the blower shut off. My thought is the ignition switch..Any thoughts? Thanks, Darryl
