A/C stops working after 1 hour or so 850 1996

1996 Volvo non-turbo wagon,

After one hour of driving with A/C, the air becomes warm.

Switching off and back on again works, but only for a short time.

Any ideas? Evap's been replaced a few years ago... maybe some switch is broken and evap gets frozen? or maybe the compressor clutch can't grab with age??


Please help!
