I have a beautiful 1980 242DL with a working sunroof but no a/c. I recently discovered this site and would like to have the opinion of a volvo afficionado as I can't find a Blue Book listing for this car, and I'd like to sell it to someone crazy in love with it. It was written off as salvage when the rear panel was hit. I had it repaired and painted (the same european red paint). That was the only accident it ever had, and the exterior is in good condition. The driver's seat needs a new seat cushion and the passenger side a new door panel to be put truly right. I couldn't find one locally. It has only 127,689 miles and I'm the second owner, since 1995 with every work order in existence for the car. While it has been sitting quite a bit, it still runs well (always starts in any temp) and it looks great. Would someone please put me in the ball park of a reasonable asking price? A few years ago a car detail shop owner offered me $5,000 and I refused. I was too attached, I may need the volvo support site to survive selling it now.
