C70 ELECTRICAL SHORT C70 1997

My C70 convertible just had the battery changed in April of this year '07- my problem is if the cars sits more than 3-4 days when i start it up- no go - wont start. My neighbor is a mechanic and has charged the battery for hours at a time, but the problem still exists, although the car was good for a month and then the problem started again with the sitting and not starting.

I have taken it to a computer diagnostic center and they had advised me that the car should "sit" until the battery dies. But the "sitting" is taking place at their establishment, this battery may not die for quite sometime. Is there another way to figure out where the short is- what is draining the battery of its juice? I dont really want my car sitting for a month at their establishment, I would rather it die in my possesion and then have it towed- ONLY if this is the only way to figure out the problem- waiting for the battery to die.

thanks MG~
