I have a 1996 850 turbo sedan automatic trans.165,000 miles . It make a wrrr wrrr wrrr noise when driving...exactly like a bearing would make. The sound is between 45- 75 miles per hour. Here's what I have tried.. Just put in both half shafts, made the car much smoother but didn't stop the sound. Put on different tires, same sound a little different pitch. I have put the car in nuetral and the noise doesn't change pitch or sound any different. The thing that has me stumped; is when I drive around corners or make real hard left or right turns while the sound is happening it doesn't change.? So I can't figure out if it is a wheel hub. Right or left. Had the car up in the air and the hubs seem fine. Could it be a rear hub? Maby the transmission axle bearings, which would make sense. How do you diagnose these, where do you buy them, and how do you install them, besides the obvious like remove axles and axle trans seals. Help! going nuts. Rick
