timing belt 850 1997

Changed timing belt, tensioner, and belt tensioner pulley, everything went well. However, the belt is walking off bout 3/16 of an inch to the front (rubbing against the front plastic cover.
Checked all parts, removed and reinstalled again and still the same problem – other then that, car runs well.
Could it be that the belt I bad?
