S70 Turbo Flame Trap technique

I have a 1998 S70 turbo, 150K miles, pushing a little oil out of the filler cap, so it looks like it's time for some flame trap service. I was thinking of replacing the flame trap/oil sperator and hoses with the FCP Groton kit. Has anyone successfully replaced these parts without removing the manifold/injectors/etc. Is there a way to access it by just reaching under the manifold, or is manifold removal the only way?
Thanks
