Door Pillar vents on 01 XC V70-XC70

Hi,

Well, I did it. I just recently got a 01 XC with 102k miles on it. Quite an upgrade over my 96 850 Turbo wagon I had years ago.

Anyway, it's cold over here in PA, so the first trip with the kids in the back, I obviously turned on the heat. In no time, the vents were blowing warm air, EXCEPT for the rear pillar vents? I knew this because my kids were complaining about being cold. A reached back and felt the air coming out and it was MUCH cooler than the air coming out the front vents.

Is there a trick to getting warm air out of those pillar vents?

I was not using the 'auto' button. I just had the heat controls on both driver and pass. to about 78, and the middle air flow button pressed (air from panel vents). A/c button was off.
