oil additive for stuck lifter 850

DOES ANYONE HAVE A SUGGESTION FOR A GOOD ADDITIVE TO REMEDY A LOUD VALVETRAIN NOISE? I have a rattle in the top end that sounds like a sticky cam follower/lifter. I was wondering if it was worth a shot to try to use a snake oil to try to remedy it. I would really appreciate any feedback. I have an 850 wagon with about 190000 miles on it and dont really want to get into taking the head apart to check everything. thanks, Keith
