Can you take the headlights a part and just replace the glass lens? 850 1996

Hello All,

I have a 1996 850 GLT wagon with 260,000 miles on it, and another 1996 850 GLT wagon with 190,000 miles on it. I've noticed that both lense have developed a "scratched haze" on the surface of each headlight lense due to age. This is really apparent when I lift up the headlight wiper blade which protect the surface of the lense and it is completely transparent or clear in appearance.

My question is: Can you just replace the glass lense or do you have to replace the entire headlight housing? I noticed the glass lense seems to be held in place by a series of sliding on clamps that slide over protrusions in the face of the lense.

If you can replace these headlight lenses, where do you get them and how expensive are they?

Thanks to all who reply.

Hugh
