How do you repair coil pack wiring harness (crumbling insulation)? S80 2002

I'm replacing plugs on a S80 T6 and find that the insulation on the wiring harness to the coil packs is deteriorated and crumbling away. Is there an 'official' way to repair this? What do Volvo shops do? Thanks.
