Cat and 02 Sensors V70-XC70 2000

2000 V70 SE 2.4L non-turbo, 128K miles

Wife arrived home last night, upset because two miles from home the check engine light came on, engine running rough and terrible smell when parked in garage.

Started car up this morning and the odor is the sulphur smell associated with a bad cat. Check engine light is on and motor runs rough with a slight miss.

Suspect a bad cat and / or 02 sensors, which have not been replaced and maybe they should have been by now.

Is it assumed in this situation that both the cat and the O2 sensors must be replaced? Any other issues I should be aware of before I take the car in?
