My car has a slow but regular oil drip under the passenger's side of the radiator. I was afraid I hit the oil cooler when parking (which may have happened - haven't gotten a close look yet), but my indy says the lines/connectors go bad with age.
He wants $115 each plus an hour or so labor (total $300-350), while oil lines seem to be around each $90 from FCP.
Should I open the wallet and let the indy do it (he says it can be a PITA to route the lines and do the connections, and that without a lift that just makes it harder). He isn't getting much of a premium for parts on this one.
Anyone replace these and have any war stories or comment on the difficulty? I am fairly capable, but if it 3-4 hours for me and only $100 for the labor, it might be better to let him do it. Thanks in advance. Don '95 854T 190K, '05 2.5T 46K
ps By the way, I'm planning to sell it. I thought selling without the leak would be easier. It is slow, but I want to be honest with buyers about it and it may put them off.
