Just bored, with nothing to do. V70-XC70 1998

Now that I fixed my CC problem and am slowly replacing all of my vacuum line with silicone lines on my V70R, what should I do?

My Ebrakes don't work like they should. I suspect the cable, one of them, is almost frozen with rust. The question, should I replace them or pour oil down the cable sheathing?
It is almost warm enough to remove the rear seat and carpeting, so I was thinking of pouring oil instead of replacing. Right now, if I pull up on the Ebrake handle, the cable does not slide back down for a couple of days or lots of pot holes later. The ebrake shoes look good, and the spring is still tight and hard to put back on.

Anyone ever try this at home? Does it get messy? I already found all of the previous owners coins under the rear seat, so there will not be a reward :)

The 164 has a new home, all I am left with are a 95 854T and a 98 V70R :)
