wiring harness, ETS/ETM and hello V70-XC70 1999

My first post here. Thanks for the helpful advice I've obtained by lurking in the past.

Summary: Dealer says my main engine wiring harness needs to be replaced because I'm not getting power to my newly replaced ETM/throttle body. Timing on this is very coincidental considering it was working fine until we started monkeying with the ETM. Don't see a lot of posts about wiring issues on this model....any thoughts/suggestions welcome.

Details: 1999 base wagon. 160K miles. Had ABS issues on/off for a while but ignored them. Drivability was otherwise fine until about a month ago when the ETS light came on and the car lost power and started running rough. Took it to dealer. Said it was the software so updated per the 155 campaign on the ETS. Problem repeated so took it back to a different dealer and they said it was the ABS unit (!). Found Victor here and since I'm in SoCal drove to him and had him repair the ABS. Codes cleared. All ABS issues resolved. (TY Victor!) Three days later ETS light back on (no surprise there) but car drivable. Later that day, car goes into limp home mode for sure and I slog my way to the dealer. They replace ETM per warranty. But also say that ETM/throttle body is no longer getting power. Dealer won't fix, only will replace engine wiring harness. Wants a lot for that job. I ran a jump from the fuse to the green wire on the connector (pin #6 I think) to power the ETM directly and car drives fine. I'm not convinced this is a great long-term solution and am looking for suggestions. It is really a hard job to run a new cable between the computers and the throttle body? Also I'm having a hard time finding consistent info about the part names/numbers involved.

TIA,

- Russ
