Hi all,
My Volvo 96' 850 GLT - non turbo with 93k has taken longer to start in the cold mornings since I got a 2 years ago. I am in Northern CA so a cold morning is around 45 F. The car struggles to start until the engine finally fires up. ( The car shudders and cranks) This morning, it would not start until I pulled out the key and tried again. The second time it fired right up. This problem only occurs in the morning and outside. When I garage the car or start the car later in the day it fires right up. Parking in direct sunlight improves the starting time.
I replaced the battery yesterday since the car would not start at all and the batter was 8 yrs old. Surprisingly this did not solve my cold starting problem.
Other info:
spark plugs 3 months ago
battery 1 day old
no codes are showing
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!
Thanks!
