here are the facts :

took a few minutes to start car after work monday eve [ stumbling like a bad battery ]

drove home and acceleration was erratic with hesitation and surge.

got home and car would not start for 10 minutes. erratic acceleration continued after test.

i suspected bas gas so a filled up the next day at different gas station.

erretic acceleration seems 90% better but know I have a p0237 chech engine i can erase with scan tool.

i can clear the p0236 that acompanied the 237.

i pulled the neg lead on the battery but the check engine p0237 is there upon start up.

how come i can't erase the p0237 ?

note : i have a p0442 i have been living with for about 3 years. [ maybe canister vacuum hose - i changed the j hose ]

any input?

I read here that the map sensor can go but what about the 90% inprovement with the new tank of gas ?
