Rear shock , Wagon 850 1997

I have a busted rear shock mount , but someone has been there before and the tip of the shock is chewed up, so I can't get the bolt off.
I unfastened the shock from underneath, so I can pull it out and work on it
at the bench.
Any suggestions on how I can get the bolt off without damaging the shock , which is in good shape. Thanks.
