dashboard rattle 850 1997

Hello again everyone,
I now have the dreaded dashboard rattle coming from the passengers side. There is movement in the dashboard itself (it looks loose) and it's not coming from the glovebox.
I've seen some write ups of people taking apart the whole dash and installing felt strips etc, but I was wondering if there was a fix out there that was less intrusive.
btw I've tried tightening the bolts that secure the dashboard but to no avail.
