hello fellows,
In looking into possible sources of the problem with my car (as detailed in this post http://www.brickboard.com/AWD/volvo/1312290/V70/stumbling_stall_stumble.html) I have come across the suggestion that the cat is failing.
I have never had this happen before and don't know what it would be like.
Could someone please describe for me what happens when a cat fails?
What is happening inside the cat that causes it to fail? Clogging? Does the 'honeycomb' break apart?
What symptoms will be noticed in the car? Could it be causing my stumbling/stalling/rich mixture problems?
