I'm new to this forum, wish I had it years ago. I've owned several volvo's - 4 240's - and now a V70. Mostly pleased with it. However, lots of blue smoke on start up and at various times driving, after sitting in traffic etc. I understand it could be valve guides. My mechanic says "don't waste the time/money on it". Question: I'm average to above with a wrench, have a few tools, is this something I can do over a weekend and not destroy the car. Or, are there pitfalls and lots of extra tools needed. Thanks. Michael
