coil wire burned out twice now S70 1998

Several months ago, my 98 S70 wouldn't start. I checked to make sure the spark plug wires were all secure to the distributor cap and notices the coil wire at the dist. cap had turned into charcoal. I cleaned it up and recrimped the connector on to a fresh part of the wire reversed the connections and was good to go. Today I notice the same thing on the coil side of the wire (though it was still able to run). It is the same side of the wire, but now it is on the coil side since the last time the wire fried. The wires are about 1.5 years old (Bougicords from eeuroparts). Is my coil going or do I maybe just have a bad wire?
