car stumbling after about 1 minute drive V70-XC70 2002

This is an interesting one. My 2002 XC seems to lose power about 30 seconds to a minute after I start driving. At first I thought it was related to being cold, but I've had it happen when the car is at temperature. Basically it goes like this....

Start car and begin to drive. Car stumbles and loses power. Occasionally it will stall out. After about 10 seconds, it picks up again and I don't have any more trouble.

Thoughts?


On a different topic, where is the transmission dipstick on an AWD? Can't find it under the hood.
