feeling helpless - no running volvo 850 1993

My God i've never felt so helpless. My better half had the 93 850 today, as I work both 3rd and then 1st shift. The 1st shift job is very close to home and we recently cut to one vechile. I came home to get my 2 hours of sleep for the day after work as usual. Unfortunately I turned off the phone. The 850 bucked and shut down on her. I was unreachable, she had the car towed to Pep-Boy's near where she was. She say's the car turns, just doesn't start. Now i'm stuck home(must be Friday night, can't reach ANYONE), Pep-Boy's has the Volvo numerous cities away, and I feel helpless. Typing this and attempting to feel better about the whole situation.
