Turbo 850 1997

850 Turbo

Was on my way home and my check engine light came on. I went about another 100 miles and it started to feel like I was either lossing power or the Turbo was not kicking in.... Then suddenly I lost all power and barly made it to a safe spot off the Interstate. At that point it was hardly running.... Had it towed to my mechanic... He pulled the codes and most were related to exhaust issues. Upon inpection he found the Turbo was broke off the studs... Anyone ever experience this? Any know reason why this could happen?
