A1 Fault code 2-3-2, flashing arrow on dash

Got the check engine light last night with the flashing arrow on the dash and the blinking trans mode selector. Read a 2-3-2 from socket A1. Also had a 1-4-2 from socket A3, but I don't think that was related. I cleared the codes and the flashing arrow and selector haven't come back so far this morning. Any ideas? Is this the PNP switch failure? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
