I have had some issues with my 1999 S70 surrounding the ETM for the last few years. The dealership would not change the ETM due to the fact that there were never any "Codes" thrown during the failure. The warranty ran out in January of this year, and guess what?? The car started to stall again (without a code) but the were able to diagnose that the ETM needed to be replace at a cost of $1500, and Volvo Canada's response was "sorry sir, you are out of warranty" Based on my past problems that I knew were ETM related, and them not willing to help, I almost Fu*%cking shot someone. If anyone has had a similar issue drop me a line. P.S. The local dealer did go to bat for me, stating it should have been replaced, but thier hands are tied...they said Volvo Canada would not play ball
