Long time 240 owner possible going to the dark side. (LOL)

1995 Volvo 850 GLT 107,000 miles - $2,000

good -

has maintenance records
has owned veh + 5 yrs (could be good or bad)
locally driven the last 5 yrs (could be good or bad)
Leather interior. Moonroof, power windows, abs, passenger and SIPS (side airbags)

bad -

needs timing belt changed (however quick read states belt is good for 70,000 miles, I don't even want to look at it if it is over 30K overdue.
front axle boot is torn - probably needs new cv joint.

I know about the A box to read
mileage
trans
engine
abs

what does the b box do?

How much to change the timing belt, serpentine belt, tensioner?
I think I can change the cv joints.

Thumbs up down ? Anything I else need to look at, besides the usual: oil leaks, condition of all the fluids?
