I have a 1993 850GLT. It has the base stock stereo (I'm not sure of the part #, but its just AM/FM/cassette, with buttons for the optional cd changer). I planned to buy a cd receiver, but didn't want to get a single DIN that left alot of extra space and a fit kit. I also didn't like the look of the double DIN's. I was looking on www.carsteromasters.com and found a unique idea. Blaupunkt makes an in-dash single DIN 5-disc changer, Product# IDCA09. On the site, click BROWSE, then CD Changers, then scroll down and choose Page 4. I like this because there are no magazines, just 5 separate slots for the cds. Since this is would be treated as any old trunk or glove box changer, I'd still need a head unit with cassette and stereo. Also on carstereomasters was a Blaupunkt cassette receiver that matched the changer well, called the "Hollywood" (Casette Receivers, Page 3. I checked the Blaupunkt site, and these two units are compatible with eachother. My question is: One, will they both fit (one on top of the other) in the dash space left from taking out the stock unit. And Two, is there any extra wiring I need to buy for them to work together. Thanks for the help.
