brakes / rotor job S70 1999

Hi, I have a 1999 Volvo S70. I was considering taking my Volvo to the local PepBoys and having them replace the pads and rotors. Being fairly ignorant about auto mechanics, is there something unique about Volvo brakes that only a Volvo mechanic can do? Thanks in advance.
