Sping Seat install

Installed new control arms, ball joints, struts, spring seats, strut bearing / mounts.

When I installed the tops of the spring seats into the bearins / mounts, I did not force the spring seats as far as they will go into the bearings. I assumed that after they were in the car the weight of the vehicle would easily force the tops of the seats as far as they could go into the bearings / mounts. After a few days of driving they are still not fully seated. The car drives almost straight. I think a slight side to side difference in how far the spring seats are set into the bearings must account for it being off. The toe at least theoretically should not be off.

Will I have to remove the strut towers and force those seats fully into the bearings? Do I need to be concerned about damaging the bearings if they need to be malleted or otherwise forced onto the spring seats?
